Other & Before

These paintings represent my time at the Kansas City Art Institute working in the Post Abstract Figuration environment of the painting department at the time. Although I worked with virtually all of the painting & printmaking department instructors, I painted primarily in Lester Goldman’s studio. His exasperation with my penchant for depicting Dreams and Myths in a fairly straightforward manner was evident but his passion and expansive view of painting were, nevertheless, inspiring.
The paintings pictured here were generally about 60 inches high (with exception of Carol Sleeping) and are now mostly lost or destroyed.http://www.absolutearts.com/portfolios/t/timking/artist_reviews.htmlhttp://www.absolutearts.com/portfolios/t/timking/artist_reviews.htmlhttp://lestergoldman.com/shapeimage_5_link_0shapeimage_5_link_1shapeimage_5_link_2
