Jimmie Beardsley was one of the driving forces of the Kunstanke exhibit, Blinded by Enchantment.

While developing pieces for the exhibit, she experimented with wrapping Barbies in beautiful fabrics emblematic of various fairytale heroines. Symbolically mummified and blinded they were further entrapped in their enchantments under glass domes as Snow White was entombed in a state of suspended animation (or Sleeping Beauty in her long sleep) awaiting a Prince to awaken them. Presenting these wrapped icons, so beautiful and enticing, aptly underscored the enchanted imprisonment embedded in the fairytale.
